We began carrying these great Haitian Metal Art pieces long before the devastating earthquake. A portion of proceeds of all sales have always benefited the Haitian people. Since the quake, the importer is donating 100% of proceeds from selected pieces.Pictured below are just a few of the items now in stock. Each piece is one-of-kind.
The artist begins with a 55 gallon oil barrel which they split open and flatten out as a large sheet of canvas. He first sketches out the design with chalk then cuts the steel using only a hammer and a nail. The round sculptures are made from the lid or bottom of a 55 gallon barrel.
Each sculpture is signed by the artist.
The sculptures are recycled, hand made and beautiful.
Beyond Borders is a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation. These sculptures are great indoor or out.
